Essential county offices located in Trenton
Trenton is an area of central Jones County that includes the town of Trenton and the unincorporated communities of Comfort and Pollocks. The town is small, spanning less than a square mile, yet it carries the big moniker of county seat. Because of this, its roughly 240 residents are never far from a county office, including the county courthouse, the tax office, the magistrate’s office, the social services office, the chamber of commerce, and the county’s department of education. Just outside of town are the offices of veterans’ services, senior services, the sheriff’s office and the county landfill. Trenton embodies small-town charm, with older homes and tree-lined streets. Comfort and Pollocks are rural, with homes spread out on acres of land.
