Ranch-style homes and mountain views define Los Ranchitos

Rows of ranch-style homes define Los Ranchitos, which translates to “the little ranches,” a semi-rural enclave in the heart of Tucson, Arizona. The neighborhood blends desert serenity and city convenience. With its spacious lots and sweeping views of the Santa Rita and Catalina Mountains, this neighborhood feels like a peaceful retreat while still being just minutes from downtown Tucson. Residents enjoy a laid-back lifestyle surrounded by native mesquite trees, vibrant sunsets and a strong sense of community. “It’s a nice neighborhood close to the freeway, so travel is easy,” says Karla Medina, a local Realtor with HomeSmart. “And it’s not just accessible; it’s growing, too. And it's also full of really nice, down-to-earth, hardworking people.”

Modest homes built in the ’70s and ’80s with desert charm

Most were built in the 1970s and 1980s, with lot sizes ranging from 4,000 square feet to a quarter of an acre. Spacious front porches or carports are a common amenity, and plenty of homes take advantage of sturdy local plants like desert flowers and cacti to brighten up their properties. There are also a number of manufactured homes for sale in the neighborhood.
