Winterhaven is bright with cactus blossoms and traditions
Don’t let the name Winterhaven fool you, this neighborhood is just as warm and bright as the rest of Tucson, and they’ve got the cactus blossoms to prove it. But the name does bring to mind one of the neighborhood’s oldest annual holiday traditions, the Winterhaven Festival of Lights. “It feels like the festival has been a tradition around here for a hundred years. I’ve been going ever since I was a little girl and people still come from all over Tucson,” says Michele Sarullo, a local Realtor with NextHome Complete Realty.
Winterhaven Festival of Lights has been a tradition since 1949 every December in Tucson.

Covered front porches and fenced lots are common and back patios are the perfect place for entertaining. Lot sizes range from 6,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. “The neighborhood has such cute, charming little houses with big grassy front lawns, which are kind of rare in Tucson,” Sarullo says.
