Heading to Park Plaza the neighborhood is filled with a lot of mid-century ranch homes and a smaller number of newer homes. “There’s a mix in there. Most homes were built in the 70s and 80s and some were built in the 90s,” Kile notes. Homes in the neighborhood have amenities like garages and screened in back porches. The neighborhood also has a growing number of duplexes. Ranch homes tend to sell for anywhere between $125,000 and $250,000, depending on square footage and overall features, while multifamily houses can exceed $350,000.

East Tulsa recreation
Norberg Park sits on 16 acres in the northeast corner of the neighborhood where residents can enjoy taking a dip in the pool, playing some tennis or running about in the open field. For youngsters aiming to become the next soccer superstar, the Metro Tulsa Soccer Club’s North Complex sits just outside neighborhood boundaries, where kids can learn to play one of the world’s most popular sports supported by the community. Some students begin at Boevers Elementary School, rated a B-minus on Niche.com, moving onto Union 6th-7th Grade Center, and Union 8th Grade Center, both rated a B. Union High School Freshman Academy was designed to help students ease the transition into high school, before finishing off at Union High School serving grades 10-12. Both schools are rated an A and A-minus. The district is known for its community school model in offering expanded partnerships through family engagement and social services with events that serve not just students but also the neighborhood. At the high school, students can earn credits from Tulsa Community College and earn a degree at the same time as their high school diploma.
