Walmart Supercenter is within walking distance
Two miles from downtown Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley and home to an annual Elvis Festival, Wilemon Acres offers a convenient location with shopping and restaurants right in the neighborhood. This solid middle-class neighborhood has a diverse mix of families with children, but its top-ranked schools are a major draw for many homebuyers. “It’s a good place to bring up your kids,” says Vicki West, a Realtor with Crye-Leike Realtors and a longtime Tupelo resident.
Ranch homes and quiet streets in Wilemon Acres
Ranch-style homes built from the 1960s through the 1980s are the dominant architectural style in Wilemon Acres. Houses rest along narrow streets on lots that are frequently framed by chain-link or wooden fences. “There are no sidewalks, but the streets are wide enough where you’d have no problem walking,” West says. “You can walk to the Walmart Supercenter.” Home prices range from $150,000 to $220,000. Wilemon Acres has a CAP Index Crime Score of 5 out of 10, slightly higher than the national average of 4.
