Much of the community's 20th-century bungalows and cottages have been flipped and sold, and many mid-century ranch-style homes have received a few updates. Hancock Park is the community's beating heart, within walking distance of most homes. It sprawls across nearly 10 acres and features a pavilion, two playgrounds and a quarter-mile paved trail. Dot Cooper Kelly Park at Lee Acres features a dozen pickleball courts, a playground and a FEMA 1,100-capacity Storm Shelter. Ballard Park, about 2 miles west of Willis Heights, covers just over 150 acres. There are more restaurants 2 miles east in downtown Tupelo, including coffee shops, bars and bistros.
