About Twin Lakes, WI

Twin Lakes is home to Lake Mary and Elizabeth Lake

The village of Twin Lakes' name derives from the two prominent bodies of water which rests at the heart of the community: Elizabeth Lake and Lake Mary. Both lakes add a sense of serenity to the area and make lakefront living an enticing facet of this region. Located in western Kenosha County, Wisconsin, Twin Lakes sits on the Wisconsin-Illinois state border and runs east of U.S. Highway 12. An added benefit of the location is that is a 90-minute commute to downtown Chicago.

Front and backyard views

Because both lakes encompass much of the community, residential pockets are located on meandering thoroughfares. Homes that sit right off the main roads are tucked away and surrounded by wooded areas. Waterfront properties offer personal access to boat launches and picturesque backyard views. The community primarily displays bungalows and cottage-inspired homes. Newly built properties have quaint details, whether a cobblestone driveway, white picket fencing or natural rocks as a gardening feature. There is a modest selection of condominiums near the town center. Residences sit on single and double lots with most having personal car garages and driveways. Prospective homebuyers can expect to pay $300,000 and up, with lakefront homes with panoramic views reaching up to $1.5 million. Plots of land are also viable buying options starting at $60,000. Many residents rely on their personal vehicles to navigate through the community.
