Golf carts whiz around palm tree-lined, contemporary neighborhoods in Viera, a Brevard County town known for its pocket parks, upscale homes and proximity to the Avenue Viera shopping center. Viera is a master-planned community on Florida’s Space Coast, split into east and west regions along Interstate 95. “I think people like living here because of the convenience. People who live here don’t really have to go anywhere else,” says Phelyna Ngu, a Realtor with ONE Sotheby's International Realty who lives in the community. “Viera’s just constantly building. It’s just a place you want to be because there’s so much to do here.” One of Viera’s unique traits is how many of its 12,000 residents get around the community: golf cart. The community provides designated paths in certain places, and their use is so prevalent that a specialized tunnel was built for students going to Viera High School by golf cart.

Viera is divided by I-95 into Viera West and Viera East, each offering unique neighborhoods, parks, shopping and dining while sharing the same vibrant community and beautiful surroundings.

Aerospace and military industries bring diversity to Viera

Ngu mentions that something this brings to the area is diversity. “The community is so diverse in age and culture, as well. There are people in their twenties here enjoying it, as well as retirees,” Ngu says.
Cape Canaveral, a historic gateway to space exploration, is a stretch of Florida's Atlantic coast known for its iconic rocket launches, sprawling space complexes and breathtaking ocean views.
