Other area perks include trail connections, parks and Walnut Creek’s coveted public school district. “The school system is absolutely one of the biggest reasons people move here,” says Shiela Eggers, a Realtor with Windermere Diablo Realty and a long-time resident of the area.

This neighborhood has many dining options, including Parada, an upscale Peruvian restaurant. Neighborhood shuttles and the Pleasant Hill BART Station
Contra Costa Centre is primarily walkable, but during the workday, there are free shuttles and a convenient local bus system that workers in the area can use to get around the district. The Pleasant Hill BART Station is located in the north part of the neighborhood, connecting to most major cities in the Bay Area, plus the San Francisco International Airport. Interstate 680 is nearby for a direct traveling or commuting route into San Francisco, while the Oakland International Airport is 26 miles south.
