Homes in Bar-K Ranch are spread out and often come with acres of land. “Mountains and plains views vary by house, but they are pretty incredible,” Archer says. Contemporary multi-story homes built between the 1970s and 2000s are common. Many have cabin-inspired features such as wood siding, large windows, porches and balconies. These properties range from 2,000 to 2,850 square feet and cost $575,000 to $875,000. Modern ranch-style homes with brightly colored exteriors are also found in the neighborhood, priced around $500,000 to $750,000. The risks of mountain living
With Bar-K Ranch’s forested landscape and dry climate, the neighborhood may be at risk of potential wildfires. “Homes in the ranch tend to be wood construction, but over time people have begun to move toward more resilient features, such as rock walls, to discourage wildfires,” Archer says.
