Northwest Warren has newer homes and more amenities than other Warren neighborhoods
Northwest Warren is a vast community packed with amenities. Despite the presence of General Motors Technical Center, the Detroit Army Arsenal and the Warren Community Center, the neighborhood retains a suburban feel. "The north is known to be a little more expensive, spacious and quieter all together," says Edyta Raganiewicz, Realtor with Century 21 Curran & Oberski. "More relaxed, if you will." Much like Northeast Warren, Northwest Warren saw increased development in the early 2000s and 2010s and is now home to dozens of shops, restaurants, recreation options and entertainment venues. Compared to Southwest Warren, where development slowed, Northwest Warren homes are slightly newer and larger, located on quiet residential cul-de-sacs and winding roads.
The median home price for homes in Northwest Warren was $260k in 2025.

Navigating in a breeze using SMART buses, interstates and thoroughfares
East 14 Mile Road, Dequindre Road, Van Dyke and Interstate 696 frame Northwest Warren and provide ample transportation routes and an industrial sector. 14 Mile Road allows residents to drive east and west without getting on the freeway. I-696 also runs east and west and intersects Interstates 75 and 94 just outside Warren's city limits. Detroit Metro Airport is about 30 miles southwest and has international and domestic flights. SMART bus routes 740 and 494 have stops throughout the neighborhood, and well-kept sidewalks make the neighborhood walkable. While residents commute 10 miles to Detroit for work, there are options closer to home. Ascension Macomb-Oakland, Madison Heights, one of the area's largest health systems and medical employers, is on Dequindre Road. There are also various manufacturing careers. "The car industry, they employ a ton of people," Raganiewicz says. "During rush hour, you see people walking to and from work. There is one on 12 Mile where there's a lot of foot traffic." General Motors Technical Center, a 710-acre campus, employs over 20,000 people and includes dozens of corporate offices, manufacturing buildings, training centers, and more. Just south of the campus, the US Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command headquarters employs over 8,400 civilians and 245 military personnel.
