Weigelstown, a small suburb of York edged by farms and state parks, has grown by 50 percent over the last 20 years, thanks to a combination of highly rated schools, abundant recreational opportunities and nearby employment opportunities. Warehouses have sprung up north of York along Interstate 83, and manufacturing plants throughout rural York County are within a 20-minute drive. “Amazon and Chewy built warehouses in Lewisberry about 20 minutes north,” says Realtor Mitzi Heaton with Coldwell Banker Realty. “If you’re relocating for work or looking to upgrade or downsize in York County, Weigelstown is a good choice.” About 60 miles from Baltimore and 100 miles from Philadelphia, this community in Dover Township also promises an attractive mix of houses and convenient highway access.
