Tranquil suburban life in outskirts of a north West Virginia city

When observing the tranquil suburban streets of Country Club Estates, it’s easy to notice one thing: there’s no country club. This midcentury neighborhood was originally built alongside the Pleasant Valley Country Club in the 1970s; the golfing destination would fade in the coming decades, but the homes remained desirable for Weirton families.

Colonial and split-level homes in the Ohio Valley

Most of the properties in Country Club Estates draw from traditional styles, including Federal and Dutch Colonial Revivals and a few Tudor-inspired homes. Properties generally have split-level, ranch or overhanging floor plans, in line with the design sensibilities of the 1960s and 1970s when most of the neighborhood was originally built. Most properties include brick in the exterior designs, with a few all-brick homes and others using it alongside vinyl siding. Property values typically range from about $200,000 to $300,000. Scores for crime are lower than the national average, according to the CAP Index.
