Galaxie consists of winding roads and cul-de-sacs of single-family homes. The streets are lined with palm trees, some featuring views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Mostly residential, the neighborhood has many ranch-style homes with driveways and attached garages. They range from $750,000 to $1 million. On the south end of Galaxie, the Friendly Village of West Covina is a mobile home park with a community clubhouse and swimming pool. The area’s manufactured homes range from $200,000 to $300,000. The northeast section of the neighborhood has more housing options, including townhouse-style condos, ranging between $600,000 and $750,000. Next door, new construction contemporary homes can start from $1.1 million and go up to $1.2 million. “Home prices on average aren't as high as in west LA, and the homes move quickly,” Huang says. On average, homes stay on the market in Galaxie for 23 days in contrast to the national average of 47 days, with a median sales price of $735,000.

Via Valley Boulevard, Galaxie is about 25 miles away from downtown LA. The neighborhood is only 10 miles from Pomona using state Route 60.
