A quiet suburb near downtown Fort Worth
The streets of Westworth Village are so peaceful and serene that locals may forget it is just five miles from the busyness of downtown Fort Worth. “It feels a little bit like a small suburban area, but it’s almost in the middle of downtown. You can have the suburban lifestyle, but with downtown flair,” says Jessica Buchanan, a Realtor with eXp Realty. “There are golf courses, trails and parks. It checks a lot of boxes.” This Fort Worth suburb developed in the 1940s and 1950s due to the nearby Air Force base, and it has remained a quiet retreat for homeowners who want to be near the attractions of Fort Worth while having room to settle down in an established neighborhood.

Westworth Village has a mix of old and new housing styles
Westworth Village has a wide variety of houses for homebuyers to choose from. Buchanan says buyers can find established, traditional homes next to brand-new houses in the area. Many established homes are ranch-style houses with built-in garages and mature trees in the front yard. Newer homes are often traditional brick homes, frequently with painted brick exteriors. The Westworth Park subdivision is a gated community with luxury million-dollar houses, including many Spanish Revival homes with red tile roofs and arched windows. Houses in Westworth Village typically cost between $200,000 and $270,000 for three bedrooms. A four-bedroom house will cost around $300,000. The newer homes are listed for $500,000 to $600,000.
