Coleman Environmental Magnet Middle School, rated C by Niche, emphasizes sustainability. The school’s garden club has its own beehive, and the honey is harvested and sold a few times a year. Wichita Southeast High School, rated C-plus by Niche, offers clubs for anime, robotics and Chinese.

How to get to Downtown Wichita
Though residents typically use cars, there are four bus stops along the perimeter of the neighborhood. Downtown Wichita is a straight shot down East Douglas Avenue.No shortage of shopping centers
A mile west of Forest Hills on North Rock Road is an abundance of shopping and eating options. Locals pick up groceries from Dillons Marketplace and devour southern fare and barbecue classics at Crutch & Biscuit. New clothes and sports gear await at H&M and Scheels at Towne East Square Mall. There are 50 more retailers at the nearby Bradley Fair Shopping Center. Forest Hills is also just 2 miles from the commercial center on Webb Road, where locals can grab organic produce from Whole Foods or order an oak-fire grilled boneless ribeye from Chester’s Chophouse & Wine Bar.
