"The city has really made an effort in recent years to make the surrounding area walkable and more of an asset to the community."

Indian Hills Riverbend has mostly mid-century ranch-style homes and bungalows, though some older farmhouses and American Foursquare homes occasionally hit the market. The options here are almost entirely single-family homes. Houses sit comfortably on well-spaced lots, and the neighborhood streets are quiet and lined with sidewalks and trees. Brick is the most common façade, though vinyl is frequent as well. No matter the style, "people love the character of these houses," says Carlson. "The inventory is super low because of that." There are many older people in the area that have lived here for many years. Most of the families in the area are families with children, however. Occasionally there are barking dogs, but the animals are friendly. There are block parties sometimes that many people attend to get to know each other.
