Performances range from tribute bands to Broadway productions to comedians.Spanish Springs Town Square
There are four town squares in The Villages, and each hosts nightly entertainment between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Spanish Springs Town Square, the closest to the neighborhood, just celebrated its 30th anniversary as The Villages’ first town square. Its stucco-sided storefronts and towering royal palms encircle the heart of the square, which is an outdoor entertainment venue. Customers dining on the patios of surrounding restaurants tap their feet along to live music as they enjoy dinner and drinks. Amerikanos Grille is a family-owned and -operated Greek-American restaurant. Its flavorful menu, jovial atmosphere and outdoor seating make it an all-around favorite. On the edge of the square, novice and pro bowlers alike show their stuff at Spanish Springs Lanes. The bowling alley has 35 lanes and an attached eatery, McCall’s Tavern. The casual pub serves a menu of classics, from double-decker cheeseburgers to spicy wings. As for running errands, Spanish Springs Town Square is surrounded by convenient businesses like Publix and local doctor’s offices.
