Village of Lynnhaven
Two- and three-bedroom Patio Villas throughout the neighborhood
The homes in Lynnhaven are mostly two-bedroom Patio Villas built between 2004 and 2005. Prices range from the high $200,000s to the low $400,000s, with the more expensive homes typically featuring golf course views. Lot sizes run small, so homes sit close together, though ones around the neighborhood's cul-de-sacs tend to offer more space. Front yards are manicured, and backyards often feature patios or pools. The streets are quiet and clear, giving residents plenty of room for evening walks or bike rides. The Villages places a bond ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 on every new home built in the community, which buyers can pay in full at closing or pay off in monthly installments. But in Lynnhaven, the homes are older, so many have had their bonds paid off.Outdoor fun at Churchill Street Recreation Center and Churchill Greens Executive Golf Course
The Villages offers many golf courses and recreation centers that residents can use for a monthly activities fee. In the neighborhood is Churchill Street Recreation Center, which offers tennis and pickleball courts, bocce, shuffleboard and a family pool open to all Villagers and their guests as young as three years old. Various clubs and organizations meet at Churchill Street, both outside and inside, in the Triple Crown Room (a nod to the center’s fun horse racing theme). Some clubs include the Cards & Board Games group, Pink Ladies Line Dance and The Villages RC Sailing Club. The Pimlico Recreation Center is just outside the neighborhood and offers similar amenities and additional clubs focusing on drawing, chess and pinochle. Golf enthusiasts can pick between the Churchill Greens Executive Golf Course and the Belmont Executive Golf Course, both offering nine holes of play.Lake Sumter Landing and Select Specialty Hospital are conveniently close
The closest entertainment hub in the area is Lake Sumter Landing, one of The Villages’s bustling town squares that offers restaurants, shopping and live music. Popular restaurants include VKI Japanese Steakhouse, a go-to for noodle dishes and sushi, and Thai Ruby, which serves authentic cuisine in a laid-back yet upscale atmosphere. There are also more casual spots like Johnny Rockets and Panera Bread. After dinner, residents like to catch a movie at the Old Mill Playhouse Theater or head to the middle of the square for live music and dancing. For running errands, residents head just outside the neighborhood to Route 466 and pick up groceries at Publix and Sprouts, prescriptions at Walgreens and find other retailers like Marshalls and HomeGoods, PetSmart and Beals. The neighborhood’s closest medical center is a Select Specialty Hospital, where patients with significant illnesses and injuries recover. Additional medical and dental offices are just outside the neighborhood near Route 466.Nearby Routes 472 and 301 lead to the rest of Central Florida
Residents mostly get around the community by golf cart, but when they need to go farther, they hop in the car and head towards Routes 472 and 301. From there, Florida's Turnpike offers the most direct route to major cities like Orlando, about 60 miles away.
