A quiet community in a natural setting
Riverside parks, quiet streets and manicured lawns give Winfield its peaceful, natural atmosphere. Initially a stop along the first railroad out of Chicago, the community remained a sleepy little town until suburban growth arrived in the 1960s. Today, Winfield retains much of its small-town charm. “Winfield is not a big community, but we have strong leadership in the city administration and a very proactive chamber of commerce,” says Daniel Czuba, the principal designated broker and owner of Daniel & Associates Realty. “Overall, this is a very supportive and tightly knit community. Rarely does one hear a negative work in Winfield.”
Nestled against the banks of the DuPage River, the community enjoys an abundance of nearby nature preserves and outdoor recreation facilities while being close to amenities and medical facilities. The city is home to the Northwestern Medical Central DuPage Hospital. It also enjoys an exceptionally low crime rate, scoring a 2/10 on the CAP Index.
