Tight-knit community and "Lime Center of the World" in Woodville

Woodville is the "Lime Center of the World," home to some of the country's largest limestone deposits, located about 20 miles from Toledo. Centered around Main Street shops, its population of 2,000 has a tight-knit community with events like a monthly farmers market. "It's a great place to grow up and have your young kids grow up, as opposed to big cities," says Kris Gerwin, a lifelong resident of over 60 years and the Administrative Assistant for the Village of Woodville. "It's full of things to do, and we have a good community."

Brownstone shops and an old-fashioned diner

Main Street is the city center, where homey downtown shops and local businesses are a community staple. "It has a charming downtown, a small-town vibe and a good location," says Lisa Donald, real estate agent at the Danberry Company with experience selling homes in Woodville. "They have shops, a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop. It's just a cute little area." At the edge of town next to a speed limit decline, the Speedtrap Diner is a 1950s-themed restaurant serving classic American cuisine in a well-established eatery with vintage décor.
