Near the junction of Interstate 87 and Cross County Parkway, Lincoln Park North is a Yonkers neighborhood that offers suburban living with easy access to big-city conveniences. Single-family and multi-family homes make up nearly half of the neighborhood’s total property mix. The area also has shops and restaurants within walking distance, as well as several apartment buildings. Residents have multiple ways to commute the 15 miles to Manhattan or surrounding cities for work, including bus and train service. “The biggest draw is its proximity to Manhattan,” says Kenneth Moran, an associate broker with Keller Williams Realty, who’s been selling homes in the area for over a decade.

Four- to six-bedroom, multi-family homes usually go for $800,000 to $1.3 million.

Academies at Lincoln High
Yonkers Public Schools offers students the opportunity to choose which schools they want to go to. For kindergarten through eighth grade, students may choose School 30, which gets a B from Niche. Interstate access, bus stops and train stations
Interstate 87 and Cross County Parkway bracket Lincoln Park North, taking commuters north and south of Yonkers. Bee-Line buses have several stops along Yonkers Avenue and Central Park Avenue. The Mount Vernon West train station is less than a mile east and offers daily service to Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal in about 35 minutes. Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital is just over a mile east of the neighborhood. LaGuardia is the closest airport, which is 10 miles south.
Cross County Center has boutiques and grocery stores
Locals are just a half mile away from Cross County Center, one of the largest shopping areas in Yonkers. “It’s an open-air mall that’s all retail,” says Moran. The shopping center has department stores, niche retailers and a movie theater. There’s also a Target and a Stop & Shop for groceries. The neighborhood also has a few restaurants along Central Park Avenue, including Katie's Cottage, an Irish pub, and Pizza Barn, which has been serving huge slices since 1975.

Swimming and fishing at Tibbetts Brook Park
Bordering Lincoln Park North to the west, Tibbetts Brook Park is a 161-acre recreation hub that offers a large aquatic complex, dozens of sports facilities and a 2-mile trail. The park also has a large lake that’s a popular fishing spot with largemouth bass and bluegills. Lt. Roy McLaughlin Park is just south of the neighborhood with a playground. And 2 miles south, Van Cortlandt Park features a 7.5-mile trail and the Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course, which is the oldest public course in the country.
