Close to shops, dining and public transit

McLean Heights is on the Yonkers-Bronx border and offers nearby shopping and dining. "It’s a mix of residential and commercial,” says Kenneth Moran, an associate broker with Keller Williams Realty, who’s been selling homes in the area for over a decade. “Most of the residential buildings have retail below.” Those commuting into Manhattan for work are attracted to the area for its quick access to public transportation, offering stops for the Hudson train line, which is operated by the Metro-North Railroad. The neighborhood is also close to some of the most trafficked roads in the city, including Saw Mill River Parkway and Broadway.

These three-to-seven-bedroom homes typically sell for $450,000 to $850,000.
