The community is bordered by major roadways on the north and south, allowing for easy access throughout the eastern York area. There are also plenty of shops and dining options close by, including the York Mall Shopping Center and York Town Center, meaning residents won’t have to travel into the city for a good meal or for some retail therapy. Residents looking to spend the day outdoors have several options close by as well, including the expansive Susquehanna River.
Classic homes
Many of the homes in Yorklyn were built in the 1950s, with single-story ranchers dominating the architectural landscape, but there are some Cape Cods and Colonials as well. Homes often sit on spacious lots, including some properties that stretch over a quarter of an acre, providing plenty of yard space. Some homes in the area built in the 80s have sold in the high $200,000 range, with multiple-vehicle garages and spacious floor plans. Homes in Yorklyn, on average, are priced less than properties in neighboring Hallam and Stonybrook, typically ranging between $210,000 and $280,000. Rental properties are parsed throughout the community in apartment and townhome communities, as well.
