Living in Yulee's newest master planned development
Wildlight is a desirable planned development in the expanding city of Yulee. "Yulee has grown very fast. It used to be all woods. But now the area has transformed," says Alton McGriff, a Jacksonville native and Realtor with Fathom Realty. "Wildlight is right off the Interstate. It has shopping and restaurants. Schools are there, too. You feel like you've got somewhere to go when you leave home. And Yulee has a lot of options." Wildlight's first homes were constructed in 2019. However, development is ongoing, and locals expect additional building phases in the upcoming years. Wildlight residents are close to wetlands and wooded trails. The home builders aim to conserve as much of the area's natural backdrop as possible.
There are guided trails for residents of Wildlight to explore and enjoy outdoor fun.

Several builders and price points
Buyers can purchase land to build their own home or find a move-in ready dwelling. "Wildlight has community parks and clubhouses--it's really nice," McGriff says. "It reminds you of St. Johns Town Center [in Jacksonville]. But in Wildlight, you're not going to see just apartments." The development has multiple home builders and several subdivisions. The builder Dell Webb offers a 55-plus community inside Wildlight. Riverside Homes built the subdivision Forest Park at Wildlight. Average home values are much higher than the rest of the metro area. Townhouses range in price from $350,000 to $420,000. Detached home prices are dependent on the square footage and parcel size. Most houses cost between $400,000 and $775,000. The region is prone to severe weather, such as tropical storms and hurricanes, which can impact insurance premiums.
