Wildlight
Several builders and price points
Buyers can purchase land to build their own home or find a move-in ready dwelling. "Wildlight has community parks and clubhouses--it's really nice," McGriff says. "It reminds you of St. Johns Town Center [in Jacksonville]. But in Wildlight, you're not going to see just apartments." The development has multiple home builders and several subdivisions. The builder Dell Webb offers a 55-plus community inside Wildlight. Riverside Homes built the subdivision Forest Park at Wildlight. Average home values are much higher than the rest of the metro area. Townhouses range in price from $350,000 to $420,000. Detached home prices are dependent on the square footage and parcel size. Most houses cost between $400,000 and $775,000. The region is prone to severe weather, such as tropical storms and hurricanes, which can impact insurance premiums.Wildlight Elementary is inside the neighborhood
The recently constructed Wildlight Elementary earns an A rating from Niche. Yulee Middle and Yulee High sit side by side, about 5 miles from the planned neighborhood. The schools earn A-minus and B-plus grades, respectively. Yulee High students have access to CTE courses in agriculture, business and aerospace technology. According to Niche, each public school ranks among the top public schools in the county.Fun at Waterbug Park, the YMCA and Amelia Island
Waterbug Park is open to Wildlight residents and their guests. The recreational space has a playground and a large community pool. Nature is integrated into the lifestyle at Wildlight. Several ponds with docks are throughout the community. There are miles of trails and shaded pathways for walkers and bicyclists. The YMCA at Wildlight offers a weight room in addition to swimming and fitness classes. Residents can also enjoy 13 miles of sandy coastline on Amelia Island.Nearby health facilities and highways
The development is walkable, and some locals get around on golf carts. UF Health Wildlight and Baptist Nassau Crossing Emergency Room are outside the residential area. Interstate 95 leads to Jacksonville International Airport, about 15 miles south. State Road 200 brings drivers to Amelia Island, which is around 13 miles away.Shopping inside the development and the Crossings at Wildlight
Anejo Cocina, located inside the Wildlight development, serves margaritas and tacos. Mocama Wildlight offers freshly brewed coffee and beer. The brewhouse hosts weekly events such as trivia and live music performances. The Crossings at Wildlight is across from the development. The retail plaza has a Publix and several dining options. Grumpy's Restaurant, a regional chain, is a popular spot for brunch. Locals also head 10 to 15 miles away towards the historic Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach for seaside shopping and date nights.
