There are also higher learning institutions in Mesquite including Eastfield College, Columbia College-Mesquite Campus, and Texas A&M University-Commerce Mesquite Metroplex Center. The schools are located in the middle of various neighborhoods throughout the city. Rollingwood Hills, Lawson, Northridge, and Pasadena Gardens are a few of the many neighborhoods. Mesquite residents enjoy a humid subtropical climate, with many months of favorable temperatures. July is the hottest month of the year, with January being the coolest month. Mesquite is also larger in size, and there are plenty of great locations to buy a home. With its affordable price tag and convenience to Dallas, it is not surprising that so many Texas residents love calling this place home.
