As for other sports facilities, skating and playground fun, Frontier Park is conveniently located on 95th Street.

Kids walk each morning to one of several neighborhood elementary schools, all falling under Indian Prairie School District 204. From Route 59 to downtown Chicago
With Route 59 running north to south near the nature preserve and surrounding communities, the path to nearby cities like Aurora is clear-cut for prairie-side residents. Besides its role as a major commercial thoroughfare, Route 59 is also a straight shot to its namesake Metra station, where BNSF trains run throughout the day and evening to Chicago Union Station. Residents are 6 miles from the station, give or take, and fill the commuter parking lot each morning for the hour-long ride downtown. They travel through the prairie on Plainfield-Naperville Road to reach downtown Naperville, though this isn’t the only hotspot for residents. “They’re close to downtown Naperville, but also downtown Plainfield, which folks love,” Christian says. “And the other place nearby is Bolingbrook, which has a big mall and a movie theater.” These two cities are also accessible from Plainfield-Naperville Road and are 8 and 9 miles away, respectively. For longer journeys, the community is just under 30 miles from both Chicago O’hare International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport.

Each community’s homeowners association provides their own range of events, and annual fundraisers at local golf clubs are commonplace. The entire Naperville community comes together several times a year as well. “We have The Last Fling in Naperville, which is the end of summer festival, the ‘big event,’” Christian says. “The Naper Settlement is awesome because it’s like an old version of what Naperville was, with the old post office. The kids in elementary go on field trips there to learn about it, and they also have food trucks, wine tastings, all sorts of things.”
