Fossils, mountains and caves, oh, my! Nebraska lies in both the Midwest and the Great Plains regions of the United States. With a diverse landscape and lots of room, Nebraska has a lot to offer. It's famous for adventure and hospitality and it's also a great place to find the perfect rental for your needs.
Nebraska is bordered by Iowa, South Dakota, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming. Two major regions divide the state into two distinct areas. Ice Age glaciers slid through the eastern part of Nebraska, leaving low hills. This area is now Dissected Till Plains and the western region is called the Great Plains. Nebraska's biggest city, Omaha, is located on the eastern side of the state along the banks of the Missouri River. Due to its central location in the U.S., Omaha gained recognition in the 19th century as an important hub for cross-national transportation. Today, Omaha is home to the headquarters of many Fortune 500 companies. Omaha is divided into six general geographic areas. Like almost any other town in America, it has a downtown. The other areas are named according to their locations, which are the north, south, east and west portions of town in addition to Midtown. This fast-growing city has a great mix of historic as well as developing suburbs.
Calling all outdoor adventure-seekers; Nebraska is the place to satisfy all of your curiosity for what's out there in the open. State parks, geologic formations and waterfalls are just the beginning of this state's wonderful bounty of nature's finest features. Vineyards and museums are easy to find if you're looking for something a little more relaxing. History and modern technology provide a large mix of fascinating attractions. You can go mountain biking in the morning and catch a concert in an outdoor amphitheater in the evening. It's up to you to get out there and enjoy all that Nebraska has to offer.
