Founded in 1973 by Allen Richardson, the company began with just 10 homes in its first year. Today, RHG has built more than 4,000 homes and remains proudly family owned and operated.
Leadership at RHG is deeply rooted in family and community. Mark Richardson has served as President and CEO since 2011. His father, Allen Richardson, continues to guide the company as Chairman of the Board, while his mother, Ann Richardson, serves as a Board Member. Angie West, Mark’s sister, holds the role of Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. All are alumni of “Leadership Gwinnett” and remain committed to enhancing the quality of life in Gwinnett County and surrounding areas by building communities that complement the environment with homes of distinction, value, and award-winning design.
RHG’s tradition of craftsmanship and attention to detail has earned the company numerous accolades. In 2024, RHG was honored as the Jackson EMC Right Choice Builder of the Year. The company has been recognized as a Best of Gwinnett winner for 15 consecutive years, reflecting consistent excellence in homebuilding and customer satisfaction. Allen Richardson received the Phoenix Award for Builders Insurance and Commendation, as well as the prestigious Georgia Housing Hall of Fame Award for his contributions to the industry. RHG has also earned numerous OBIE Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, celebrating outstanding achievement in new home construction and marketing.
