The Estuary is ideally located less than five miles from downtown Bethany Beach and the Atlantic Ocean and 7 miles from Fenwick Island. The Estuary boasts a natural setting with more than 17 miles of pathways, sidewalks and wooded trails through 230 acres of undeveloped wooded land. You can also spend time at the communities two sandy beaches featuring a fire pit and seating area, or enjoy time at the large man-made lake with a pier for fishing and kayaking.

Ride your bike or take a quick drive to the Assawoman Bay State Wildlife Area where you can enjoy crabbing and clamming in the shallow waters, or launch your boat or kayak and enjoy a day out on the water. You can also grab your binoculars & climb the observation tower to look out for local birds, bald eagles or woodpeckers.
