Named for the iconic naturalist writer, Jack London Square is a portside residential and commercial hub at the Oakland waterfront. In the late 1800s, author and Bay Area native, Jack London was a familiar face at Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon, a waterfront cantina in the neighborhood that has since become a historic landmark.
