MetroWest
Shopping and dining conveniently located inside the community
"You're right on the cusp of Downtown Orlando, which is way more expensive than MetroWest, so you get more bang for your buck," says David Dorman, a broker and Realtor with Century 21 Professional Group and Central Florida resident. This “bang for your buck” includes living less than 10 miles from Steinmetz Hall and Walt Disney Theatre, hugely popular spots for live music and events, and The Mall at Millenia, which draws shoppers from near and far to its upscale stores and restaurants. Dorman also says a perk of living so close to the Magic Kingdom is, as an annual pass holder, the ability to treat the park like a fun evening out instead of a day-long event. “You go for dinner, watch the fireworks, and you’re home by 10 p.m. It doesn’t have to be an all-day thing.”Within MetroWest are two shopping centers where residents pick up groceries at Publix and essentials at Walmart. Both shopping centers include specialty stores and services like salons, dry cleaners, and popular local restaurants. Among them are Stonington’s Fried Shrimp, a local chain specializing in fried seafood; Silva’s Market, a modest spot serving authentic Brazilian dishes; and À Brasileira, another authentic Brazilian restaurant offering a full bar and live music.

MetroWest is also packed with condos and townhouses, many of which boast gated entryways, fitness centers and community pools, with prices ranging from $94,000 for one bedroom and one bathroom to $500,000 for three bedrooms and two and half baths. Regarding crime, MetroWest scores a 6 out of 10 on the CAP Index, two points higher than the national average.Residents get fresh air and exercise at Bill Frederick Park

These roadways connect to Route 408 and Interstate 4, which lead to Universal Studios, about three miles south; downtown Orlando, about 8 miles east; Sea World, about 10 miles south; and the Magic Kingdom, about 20 miles south. The Orlando International Airport is about 20 miles southeast and offers flights worldwide.Valencia College located in the neighborhood
