Midcentury homes with an easy-going feel
"This is a busy area of town because of the naval base and beaches, but the neighborhood still has an easy-going, community feel," says Lucia. Generous streets and sidewalks allow neighbors to walk throughout the community. Spanish-inspired stucco exteriors on the midcentury homes give a laid-back Southern California feel. Even with this residential vibe and proximity to the beach, three-bedroom ranch-style homes with multicar driveways and a bit of yard space start at just $500,000. Similar-sized ranch-style homes with larger lawns can be found for about $640,000.
