In the recent past, this property was used as a sheep farming operation that was a successful venture.  Currently, the 85 acres of farm fields are used for producing hay with a good portion of the fields fenced with high tensile fencing. When the fields where in production, there was a nutrient management plan in place along with the application of lime to increase the productivity of the soils.  The majority of the soils are desirable well-drained silty loam type Langford, Erie and Bath soils.
