This is a great property on 21 acres just 30 minutes from west Wichita, KS. This is a stunning lot on a nice rolling hill lot of ground, on blacktop road on Highway K2. This property offers serenity and seclusion with the convenience of being right off the highway. There is abundant wildlife on the property. The highway side of the house has an earth berm to hide the highway and get the noise level very acceptable. The back of the house opens to the west with a covered deck expanding the majority of the width of the home, making for fantastic Kansas sunset views. The back yard is expansive and has a lot of nice landscaping, mature trees, and an outdoor shower with solar heated hot water that is very unique! There are a couple of outbuildings, and a chicken coop. You can sit on the deck and safely have your personal rifle or bow range into the nice sloping hill. There are two small ponds on the property that do hold water, and could be enlarged. The seller says it is a very sandy soil for about 7 feet then solid rock at that point. The property also has a huge 40’x70’ foot Wick shop building with electricity. This building is also categorized as the detached garage, since multiple vehicles could be parked in it, but there is not an attached garage on the home. There is a large overhead north and south door to get implements, the RV or large trailers in and out. The floor is not concrete, so part of this could easily be modified for horse stalls if needed. The home has a geothermal heat pump with ground source water. In the spring and summer the water exiting the system is used for watering the lawn. In the winter the system is used to bring warm water out to a large stock trough, so it does not freeze. The home has a total of 5 bedrooms, with 3 being upstairs and two conforming bedrooms in the basement. One if the upstairs bedrooms is being used as an office and has a stove in it, but could be repurposed into a conforming bedroom. This home is a stick built home that was moved to this site in 1997 and put on a permanent basement with 9’ basement walls. It is not know when the original part of the house was built.
