The Sarah Daniell Lawrence House, circa 1790, was built on this lot for the benefit of Robert Daniell's wife and daughters as specified in his will in 1787. The building was apparently completed before his death. Sarah Daniell Lawrence received this house and land by purchase from the estate of her father in 1791.
