Adrian Wright

Adrian Wright works at the Malibu Compass office, serving Malibu, Topanga, Calabasas, and the greater Los Angeles area. Adrian’s family moved to Topanga in 1976, and she earned her real estate license in 1986. She began her real estate career working for Jon Douglas Company in Topanga and the West Valley. She has worked in real estate or real estate finance, in the area, for most of the past 31 years, as a realtor, escrow officer, and loan officer. During the 3 years of the financial crisis, Adrian was an award-winning short sale negotiator for Bank of America, helping homeowners to successfully complete short sales so as to avoid foreclosure. She puts that inside knowledge to work, to help clients struggling with mortgage distress. Adrian’s strong connection to Topanga, Malibu, Santa Monica, and the West Valley, and her comprehensive real estate knowledge make her a tremendously rich to our community.

Adrian began volunteering at the Topanga Community Club at age 14, and has been active with the Topanga Community Club, ever since, serving on the board for 4-1/2 years, and as President for 2009 and 2010, helping to create some of the most memorable Topanga Days festivals of the past 40 years! She currently volunteers for The Topanga Women's Circle, which sets up short term housing for homeless families and veteran families. She has also volunteered her time on Topanga Elementary Charter School Committees, PTO Board, Booster Club Board, as a fundraiser for Palisades Charter High’s inaugural surf team, of which her son was a founding member.

An avid bodysurfer, hiker, and former “Surf Mom” who spent long summer hours “wave shopping” with her sons, Adrian is passionate about the ocean and the environment, and has participated in Beach and Creek clean-ups over the years. Adrian passed on her passion for our local beaches and mountains to her two sons, Jordan and Biko. Adrian has teamed up with her son, Jordan Wright, who also works at Compass Malibu. She managed the office of the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains during a 2-year hiatus from real estate, in the 90s, where she gained a deep understanding of the environmental concerns of our communities. Adrian is committed to quality service, ethical practices, and to getting the best deals for her clients.
