Alan Thuma

Alan Thuma has been a realtor at Vanguard Properties since 2010. During this time, he’s worked with an array of clients through ever-changing market conditions.

Originally from Sitka, Alaska, Alan grew up in Bellingham, WA, studied literature at UC Santa Cruz and later got his MFA in creative writing from Saint Mary’s College. Since 2006, San Francisco has been home to him. As both a homeowner and a landlord, Alan understands the importance of community and the participation that goes with it.

When it comes to his clients, service is paramount: he listens and offers guidance, understanding and insight. Whether you are a seasoned seller, investor, or a first-time homebuyer seeking an entry point into the Bay Area market, Alan will work to make sure that your real-estate goals are met. When not working, Alan spends time with his wife and their old cat. He likes reading, cooking and wine, and shopping for records and riding his bicycle in the Headlands
