About Andy

Andy Wathen, a Kentucky native, has made Atlanta his home since 1977 and has served the real estate community for the last 30 years. He has joined Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty, consistently recognized by the Atlanta REALTORS® Association for top performance citywide.

Andy brings a special perspective to his clients, having served as owner and President of Great Oak Mortgage Corporation since 1993 and prior to that has worked in the mortgage industry since 1978. He offers his clients an understanding of each real estate transaction from a unique financial perspective as well as bringing knowledge of today's market place.

Andy is an active member of his community, serving as past president and current member of his neighborhood executive board. His knowledge of the community and the real estate industry, along with his experience of negotiating real estate transactions from both the seller's and purchaser's perspective, have given him an invaluable edge for his client's benefit.

In his spare time, Andy is a member of the local master's swim team and enjoys walking while cleaning up his neighborhood. He especially enjoys his Kentucky Wildcats while they are on the courts.
