About Ariela
Since coming to Morningside Heights to study in the joint program of Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary, Ariela Heilman has made the Upper West Side her business. In quick succession, stints followed in theatre subscription sales at Circle in the Square, Educational Relations at the CBS Television Network, Researcher at Teleprompter Cable Television and neighborhood advertising sales for TV Shopper Magazine.
With marriage and motherhood came volunteering in West Side Little League, West Side Soccer, St. Luke's/Roosevelt Crime Victims Services, Tenant Association and Co-op Board membership, PTA member at the Delta Program on 107th and Columbus, Wagner Jr. High School, Stuyvesant High School and Bronx High School of Science. As a founding mother of the Anderson Program at P.S. 9 in 1986, Ariela got involved with Community School District 3 on the Upper West Side, serving as School Board liaison for 10 years and managing two successful School Board election campaigns.
Ariela is an active member of Ansche Chesed Synagogue on 100th Street and is involved with the work of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international human rights organization. Married to longtime CBS executive Ray Faiola, they are the proud parents of a son who is a music producer and a daughter who, after graduating the School of Art Institute of Chicago, started her own jewelry line.
After 13 years as a residential broker, specializing in co-op and condo sales in Morningside Heights and the Upper West Side, Ariela opened her own company on July 4, 2004, building on a strong, loyal customer referral network. Seizing upon opportunities provided by the building of the new Yankee Stadium, Ariela’s company expanded their focus to include the Bronx and she continues to succeed in brokering both sales and rentals in this up-and-coming area.
