About Asit

A full-time NYC resident since 1993 who got his initial real estate license from a $100 Groupon and closed $30M in sales the same year, Asit brings decades of experience from consulting engineering, strategic marketing, and investment banking to the practice of real estate. A typical Gen-Xer with a poor work-life balance, Asit works early mornings, all day, and late nights without distraction because the city does not sleep, and his clients need him to respond at all hours.

Asit developed a keen eye for NYC property at a young age on frequent tours with his father, then an NYC HPD executive engineer who rehabilitated many thousand city-owned properties in the 70s and 80s. After successful careers in multidimensional financial analysis, marketing consulting, and VC fundraising, in 2001 Asit joined his family's NoHo then SoHo-based Engineering/Architecture firm serving NYC's top designers, private developers, prominent real estate families, and co-op and condo managers. Through experience and formal training, Asit ascended in the industry and absorbed all he could, bringing that advisory to the table for his real estate clients today.

Asit studied Psychology and Economics at NYU (’98), is a PHIUS-trained Passive House designer/consultant, a certified Multifamily Building Analyst, PHIUS-certified Passive House large building verifier, has his Construction Management certificate from the City University, is a Cooper Union geothermal & solar thermal researcher to this day, and is a formerly registered NYC DOB Expediter. Time and again, Asit’s clients discover it’s the combination of their own strengths with Asit’s that is the true force multiplier.

Asit has lived in over 20 apartments in 15+ neighborhoods throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and viscerally understands NYC neighborhoods from firsthand experience. He has lived in the same West Village co-op for the past 11 years wherein he consistently and unapologetically breaks the top price record. When not working, Asit enjoys biking through NYC, watching Jeopardy with his wife, and designing renewable energy control systems.
