Austina has been in Buena Vista since 1987. She comes from a family of realtors where four of seven family members are Brokers. Austina attended Western State College in Gunnison, CO, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English/Kinesiology. She spent her summers traveling abroad. Her favorite places were Germany, Hawaii, and Mexico. After graduation, Austina began teaching high school English, creative writing, speech, and drama in Billings, MT. She moved back to Buena Vista in 1997, where she taught fifth and sixth grade at Darren Patterson Christian Academy for two years. Austina's real estate accomplishments include: 2005 Rookie of The Year; GRI, Graduate of the Real Estate Institute; MRE, Master in Real Estate and the elite CRS, Certified Residential Specialist. To achieve this honor, one must be in real estate for 11 years, selling a significant amount per year. There are only 6 CRS agents in Chaffee County. Austina loves contributing to her community. She has served on the school board for Darren Patterson Christian Academy (DPCA), she has coached basketball, volleyball, soccer, and fast pitch softball. She currently serves on the board for the Buena Vista Pregnancy Center. Austina's hobbies include writing poetry, camping, fishing, hiking, participating in all sporting activities, and most of all, she loves spending time with her daughter, Keely. What she cherishes most about Buena Vista is knowing that it will always be a place that she can call home.
