Barbara has chosen not to practice dual agency. She only represents one party in each transaction, thus keeping her allegiance to her clients at all times. She offers potential clients the opportunity for a no-cost, no-obligation consultation before they commit to working together. You can expect her communication to be honest and straightforward, always keeping your best interest at heart.
Barbara's introduction to real estate was in 1973 when her mom went to work for a small company in Magnolia Village, in 1985. Over the years her client base has ranged from first-time buyers to experienced investors. She has been blessed to work with childhood friends and their families, people new to the community, and those leaving the area after many years. She is a neighborhood expert and a lifelong Magnolia resident; a small community about 15 minutes from downtown Seattle. She knows the unique communities Seattle has to offer and prides herself on matching her clients and their needs to the neighborhood best suited for them.
Barbara has a passion for homes. Old ones, new ones, fixer-uppers, chicken coops...anything with a roof! She has lived through an extensive remodel with her husband. She has sold a home she loved and purchased a new home that fits her lifestyle a little better. When she is not at work you can find her in the yard. She has created a private outdoor sanctuary where her family and friends gather for outdoor meals, good conversation, and lots of laughter.
Barbara is big in the community, always has been, always will be. She is dedicated to teaching young people about the responsibility of being part of the bigger community. She created and supported a project called Sandwiches for Hope. Local fourth-grade students are provided the provisions to make sandwiches that are then delivered to Francis House, a day shelter located just outside of downtown Seattle. She served non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families for 15 years. She has served as a team captain for Relay for Life, been president of the parish council at her church, served on the board of the Wild and Scenic Institute and the Stewardship committee at her church.
Barbara and her husband have been married for 34 years, they have two awesome adult daughters, a terrific son-in-law, and a sweet granddaughter.
