About Betsy

It is Betsy’s pleasure to represent Real Estate Buyers and Sellers in the Eastside, Seattle, South Snohomish County & even Kittitas County. She has been licensed since 1992 and is currently a Broker at Windermere Bellevue. Apart from a few years in Boston, she has worked for just 2 agencies, Windermere (2007+) and Coldwell Banker Bain (1992-2007).

As an Eastside Native, Betsy attended Lake Washington High School and the University of Washington, majoring in Urban Planning. Prior to being licensed as a broker, she was fortunate to spend 12 years with Chicago Title Insurance; learning an amazing amount about the technical aspects of the industry. She started as a Title Examiner, progressed to Title Officer and Escrow Officer, finishing as a Title Insurance Account Representative. With her sales interest piqued, she made the jump to Real Estate in 1992.

Knowing the technical aspects of the Real Estate Business has always been extremely important to Betsy. It is one of the main things that sets her apart from other real estate brokers. You will not always need a broker that understands Easements, Covenants, Legal Descriptions, Title Transfer, Septic System Documentation, and more; but would it not be great to know your agent had that knowledge, should you need it? In addition to required continuing education, she has happily taken hundreds of hours in approved coursework and pursued certifications, to further her knowledge. Betsy has also taught courses to Title Insurance employees, Escrow Officers and even functioned as the instructor for Bellevue College’s first 30-hour course in Title Insurance.

Real Estate was a perfect, time-flexible career when her children were young. When they had days off during the school week, Betsy loved showing them homes she was working with, in different communities; always finding a great new park in the process. Both are experts in delivering flyers and posting sold signs! Now the boys are grown and on their own, giving her even more time to devote to representing real estate clients.

When she is not selling homes, Betsy loves to volunteer locally, nationally, and internationally and to travel, with her husband or solo. Hoping to get back to traveling very soon!

Betsy’s favorite way to travel is to work on a Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build, somewhere around the world; then take a week to explore the area. This has taken her to Bangladesh, Mexico, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Romania, and Portugal. Hoping to visit Nepal and Vietnam soon.
