About Bill
Bill will tell you right away, It’s not about sales, but rather, service! After all, the decision to buy or sell a home is one of life’s most important. Who wants a slick salesman to do that? It is evident from your first meeting with Bill, that he is there to serve, to be trusted, and to meet every realistic need possible during the buying and/or selling process.
Bill Killmeier has been a licensed real estate agent in the State of Georgia since 1999, and a licensed broker since 2006. However, the seeds of the real estate industry were sown early on by his father who was a builder/developer in the seventies. Born in Atlanta, and having grown up in the Cobb County/ Marietta community, Bill saw firsthand the enormous growth that would soon take place for the next several decades. At the age of 13 Bill began working at Trimline Sales Company in Marietta, who, at the time, was one of the leading suppliers of doors, windows, hardware, and custom trim for the Atlanta metro area. Delivering the very building supplies he helped to create to the newly developed Peachtree City and surrounding Atlanta area communities provided the seeds of inspiration to be a part of the housing market.
Even while attending The University of Georgia, Bill remained connected to the building business, working weekends and summers for Carroll Construction, who completed such projects as Piedmont Baptist Church, Marietta; First Baptist Church educational building, McDonough; the campus library at Shorter College, Rome, Georgia; and the Marietta Medical Office Building.
After graduation from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, Bill served in the U.S. Army as soloist and member of The U.S. Army Band and Chorus (Pershing’s Own), permanently stationed at Ft. Myer, Virginia, base for the Arlington Cemetery. As a staff sergeant he regularly performed for the Vice President, various heads of states, and foreign dignitaries.
Immediately after his enlistment, Bill enrolled in the Northern Virginia Real Estate School, and shortly thereafter became a member of the NOVA Board of Realtors where he began working for Long and Foster Real Estate in Falls Church, Virginia and the Washington D.C areas. The joy of working with buyers and sellers surpassed his expectations. And it was then in the 80’s that he knew he would always have a lifelong passion for the business.
In the fall of 1991, following his dream to be a full-time opera singer, Bill moved to Germany where he maintained his legal residence until 2004. During those years, he lived in Germany, Ireland, and Austria. And because of the technological advances in the real estate industry during the late 90’s, he was then able to complete transactions from overseas!
The experience of living in the northeast, Washington D.C. and Europe has set the stage (no pun intended!) for Bill to be one of the most versatile agents in the business. The secret of his success has been the ability to communicate with individuals from every race, culture, and national origin imaginable.
As they say, “There is no place like home!” So, after being away for more than 20 years, Bill decided to finally reestablish permanent roots with his wife and children in the Atlanta area.

Bill's Reviews
10/14/19Danielle Sheppard
Bill was AMAZING! This is not my first time attempting to by a home but this is the first time that I actually went through with the process and I owe a lot of that to Bill. He was patient, understanding and most importantly he wasn't judgmental. I did not feel like a dollar sign with Bill. I felt like a first time home buyer who was feeling all different types of emotions but I had an amazing realtor who eased all of those emotions. I will recommend Bill going forward to anyone.
