Bret Richards

Bret P. Richards joins the Coleman & Patterson team with over 15 years of experience in the Real Estate & Auction business. In addition to being licensed as a real estate broker and Auctioneer in Texas, Bret holds 25 licenses in other states including California, Ohio, Florida, and Washington. As a member of the national real estate auction firm Hudson & Marshall, Bret has facilitated Auctions and real estate transactions in 45 of the 50 states plus Puerto Rico. While the national experience and expertise is great, the native East Texas has long considered the Brazos Valley his home, and now resides and operates here and the surrounding areas full time. Bret is a member of many professional organizations such as the B/CS Association of Realtors, The National Association of Realtors, the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Auctioneers Association, and National Auctioneers Association. Bret holds the distinguished Certified Auctioneers Institute designation, which is held by less than 5% of auctioneers nationally and was crowned the Texas Auctioneers Association State Champion Auctioneer in 2007 as well as 2004 Rookie Champion. Bret met his wife Roxanne, an elementary teacher, while both attended Texas A&M University. They live in Bryan, TX with their children Kimberlyn and Kade, where they hope to raise their children loving the same agricultural based upbringing they received. Bret also owns a Benefit Auction business and works with many fundraising non-profit groups such as the Brazos Valley A&M Club, Believing 4 Bryleigh, Wipe Out Kids Cancer, Waller County Fair Association, along with many events with MLB’s Texas Rangers. Bret was on the rodeo team while at Texas A&M and is now the president of Texas Aggie Rodeo, Inc. the official support group/booster club for the Texas A&M Rodeo team.
