We unreservedly recommend Brian Silvestry at 11 on a scale of 0-10! We initially met him at an open house for another apartment sale in our building, before deciding to hire a broker. We were very impressed with his professionalism, marketing/sales approach and low key but persuasive demeanor. We've known many real estate brokers over the years, including two in our in our apartment building, but none equaled his talents. Once we met to discuss possibly hiring him, we were so convinced he could do the job, we immediately signed an exclusive contract on fair terms. Within one week, he obtained a buyer at our asking price,who happens to live in our building and had been looking for a place like ours for some time. Because he lives in our building and has represented many purchasers over the years,Brian was able to work smoothly with the building's management. He also found two young college students to help us pack our personal papers, which took many hours; and they did excellent work.. It was not easy moving out after 40+ years in our apartment. Brian sold to me a house in Harlem . The deal was a bit hard because it was an SRO and paperwork needed to be filled, it was a lengthy process but he got it done all by himself!!!. I am impressed by his calm nature , devotion to his clients , and his professional attitude . Working with many agents in the pass, Brain outshines them all. I originally decided to work with Brian Silvestry because I knew him casually as a neighbor, knew that he worked in real estate and had always found him to be a very pleasant person. I also assumed that as a resident of the building, he would be familiar with all the quirks of working with the Board and with the management company, which would be an advantage. It all worked very well. Brian was quick off the mark, interested and had very helpful suggestions. He found me my tenants quickly, and judging by the meeting I had with them, they seem to be very decent people. He also facilitated all the paperwork and worked with the building Board, etc., much much better than I would have been able to. He was at all times responsive and answered questions with no delay. I previously knew Brian only through a friendly word or two in passing as I walked my dogs in Central Park, but he turned out to be the perfect realtor for me. You expect your realtor to aggressively market your property, obtain a fair price and bring it all to close in a timely manner. Brian did not disappoint, even with a somewhat difficult buyer. What you can't necessarily expect is for him to take care of everything you should have done for yourself. I called Brian literally days before I moved from New York knowing my apartment needed to be repainted and my floors refinished. I was in the middle of packing and other frenzied activity due to a death in my immediate family. Brian was there in a flash to take control of the situation and put my mind at ease. Through his network of quality, reasonably-priced service providers, he was able to get the work done with no involvement on my part. When we got the offer we wanted and he realized I didn't know a real estate attorney, he quickly connected me with a quality attorney who agreed to handle my contract at a reduced fee. When we discovered another repair that needed to me made during the process, he also took care of that. He was present at all viewings of my property by potential buyers to optimize the viewing experience. My primary responsibility in all this was just to sign contracts and write checks, knowing Brian was taking care of everything. I would highly recommend Brian.

Brian Silvestry has made this process of selling our condo so much easier and so much more comfortable than I could ever have expected. This could have been a very nerve-racking experience for us but Brian has been leading us through the process with very gentle care. He has been there every step of the way to answer every question we had, even when we were afraid that the questions may sound foolish. He never made us feel that any question we needed to ask was too much for him to answer. He also didn't make us wait for answers. When I would email a question to him, I would get an answer back very quickly. That's something that was very important to me. When I needed a real estate lawyer for this sale, he found one for me. He truly made us feel that we have nothing to worry about and that he would and could take care of every detail. I expect a real estate broker to be knowledgeable about his/her business, but there is more to this than just the business part. There is the human aspect of it all. This is about people making big changes in their lives and dealing with all the emotional repercussions that that entails. At all times, Brian was kind, understanding, patient and respectful of our feelings and any personal situations that came up. He made the selling of our condo much less scary than it could have been.
