About Butch

Butch Whitfield joined Harry Norman, REALTORS® in 2003 after a career in Landscape Design with Planters, Inc. He moved to Georgia after successfully completing his academic work at North Carolina State University where he received a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design. After two years in the field working on prestigious projects for clients including Ted Turner and Sen. Sam Nunn, he decided to take the same path as his parents into real estate. Co-Brokers, Steve and Nancy Whitfield operate The Whitfield Properties Team in Burlington, North Carolina.

In his ten plus years in real estate, Butch has encountered many successes and learning experiences related to the Metro Atlanta market. As a result, he has settled into the specializations which he most enjoys and at which he excels - marketing Intown and contemporary homes.

Butch has served as a board member of the Decatur Business Association, for which he chaired the 2011 and 2012 Decatur Beach Party. He is a past-President of the Oakhurst Business Association, a Senior Marketing Consultant with Harry Norman, and a member of the Luxury Marketing Council of Atlanta. Butch supports the Atlanta Opera and Open Hand Atlanta.

Without hesitation we chose Butch as our listing agent on our Oakhurst home in Feb. 2014. He had his finger on the pulse of the neighborhood market and priced our home so competitively that it was under contract within 5 days and above asking price. Butch knew exactly how to stage our home and had fantastic suggestions to steer us in the direction of a sale. I cannot recommend him enough.
