About Carol
With more than 20 years experience as a Greater Houston Area real estate agent, and nearly 10 years as a broker, Carol Garcia Drake, Managing Broker of United Real Estate Houston, knows and values the opportunities and big heart the city of Houston offers. From luxury properties to farm & ranch and undeveloped acreage, Carol's expertise expands across the industry and specializes in the Northwest area of Houston, where she has lived since 1998.
As a native Mid-Western, second-generation American with East-Coast roots, Carol's diverse experience in real estate across the country gives her a refined perspective on what defines a home for each individual. She's passionate about instilling and educating the same knowledge into her teams as they proceed with tenacity , honesty, integrity and consistency.
Before entering the professional world of real estate, Carol opened and operated Fine and Fancy Foods, an international gourmet food brokerage where, partnering with her sister, she worked with leading industry companies in the country's largest cities for 12 years. Her self-starter, go-getter and family-oriented personality gave her the advantage in adapting to unknown situations, negotiation offers and contracts that would align perfectly with her future in real estate.
When her children were born, Carol dedicated her life to raising them while helping manage the automobile auction company her family owned and operated for nearly 20 years. As her children entered school, her entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of the housing industry instilled by her father, an architect, led her to become a licensed real estate agent in 1999.
After more than 14 years leading teams for a billion dollar real estate company, she decided to venture out on her own to lead teams in a way that would not only educate the client but also the agents. Thus, the independent team, Inspired Living Real Estate was founded in 2016, and eventually Carol moved to become the broker of United Real Estate Houston in 2019. United continues to set an industry standard for credibility, honesty and integrity in customer service and client advocacy.
Carol knows that a team is only as strong as every working part, and to ensure her team exudes excellence across their communities, she is devoted to bringing a deeper knowledge and understanding to the home buying experience for every United agent and their client, by providing her team with the most current information, education and training.
Her passion for education far exceeds the workplace. Carol is a founding member of both the Magnolia Education Foundation and the United Ways' "Women who Rock," providing resources for learning and funds for programs that support excellence in education. As a founding board member of Cannon Recovery and Transitional Living which supports the special needs and veteran populations, Carol's heart for serving her community, her team, her family and God is ultimately her greatest motivation. And among the many accolades , achievements and awards she's grateful to have received, her proudest and most prized achievements are her family, children and grandchildren.
