Over the course of a real estate career that began in 2001 in Washington, D. C., Caroline has worked closely with commercial and residential property investors and developers. After relocating to Houston, she continued working with commercial clients and then made a decision to focus exclusively on residential sales. “I realized how much I missed the residential side,” Caroline says. “I like the personal nature of a home where people create their family and build a lifetime of memories.”
Caroline holds a degree in international relations from the University of Southern California and a graduate degree in international economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. “I also speak some French and Indonesian, although I don’t get to practice as often as I’d like,” she says. Before entering graduate school, Caroline worked in international finance for Charles Schwab in San Francisco and Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong. She transitioned her investment expertise into her post-graduate real estate career.
Away from the office, community commitments are important to Caroline. She heads the SAIS/Johns Hopkins alumni chapter in Houston and participates in activities with the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, the World Affairs Council, and the Jones Partners and Jesse Jones Graduate School Entrepreneurs Organization at Rice University.
Caroline's father invested in rental homes and apartments, making her ultimate career choice somewhat of a given. Born in Santa Monica, California, she grew up in Alice, Texas and attended The Hockaday School in Dallas. She spent summers as a camper at Heart O the Hills camp in Hunt, Texas. An avid runner who has completed eleven marathons including the Athens Classic Marathon in Greece in 2015, Caroline combines her passion for running with an equal passion for international travel. "I love running in foreign cities because its the best way to take in the hidden places that you miss on a bus or in a taxi."
